The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Adams is looking to advance position but Selnes won't allow it.
Selnes wants to get back to his feet.
Adams tries to pass the half guard into mount. Selnes knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Selnes is trying to stand back up but Adams is controlling him
Adams missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Adams is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Adams content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Selnes tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Adams manages to move to mount!
The referee warns Selnes that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adams pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Adams loads up with a big shot that hurts Selnes! He's pulled Adams in close but Adams has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Selnes survive? More strikes from Adams and Selnes is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
