Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Alemaieda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rollo Smek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rollo Smek has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ricardo Alemaieda's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ricardo Alemaieda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rollo Smek! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alemaieda scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Alemaieda gets the takedown into side control. Alemaieda is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Smek is trying to get back to his feet. Alemaieda thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Alemaieda working away. Smek is not content to let Alemaieda control the position. You can see the frustration on Smek's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Alemaieda is looking to take a break and control but Smek is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. A control attempt from Smek but he's now mounted! Alemaieda tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Smek is desperately trying to improve his position but Alemaieda has a good base and remains in mount. Alemaieda avoids the attempt from Smek to control. Smek is trying to reverse the position but instead Alemaieda has taken his back - oops! Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Alemaieda.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Alemaieda's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smek tries to escape the position.
Alemaieda looking to hold on to the position here but Smek rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Alemaieda trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Alemaieda is working hard here to advance position. Smek pulls Alemaieda in close to his closed guard and prevents Alemaieda from doing any damage or advancing position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Smek closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smek is looking to take a break and control but Alemaieda is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Smek fails to land a wild elbow strike.
A lull in the action here as Smek stalls from top position. Let's hope that Smek has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Alemaieda is looking for a sweep. Smek controls the position. Alemaieda regains half guard there - taking advantage of Smek's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Alemaieda is refusing to be controlled, as Smek sits in half guard.
Despite being in the dominant position, Rollo Smek just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. No joy there for Alemaieda, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Alemaieda is breathing heavily. Smek slips a jab from Alemaieda. Smek looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Smek looks for a takedown but Alemaieda sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricardo Alemaieda dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Alemaieda with a lazy takedown attempt and Smek decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Alemaieda's guard. Alemaieda throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Alemaieda manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Smek manages to get himself to full guard.
Smek is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Smek has his foot on Alemaieda's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alemaieda works his way back into a safe position though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Smek is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alemaieda gets to his feet. Smek looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Smek closes the distance and clinches. Smek pulls Alemaieda into guard.
Alemaieda wants to control from the top but Smek keeps moving. Smek lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Alemaieda! Smek working for a guillotine from mount but Alemaieda is in no mood to give up. Alemaieda manages to regain half guard. Good work. Alemaieda is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alemaieda is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Alemaieda trying to control here.
Alemaieda is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Smek performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Alemaieda wants to control but Smek is keeping busy and won't allow it. Alemaieda is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alemaieda tries to roll over but Smek keeps him under control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Smek looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Alemaieda is looking to improve his position.
Alemaieda is looking to control Smek's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Alemaieda avoid being mounted? Smek is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Alemaieda has managed to free his arm - good work. Smek trying to pass the guard but Alemaieda defending well. Smek wants to control but Alemaieda is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smek missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Alemaieda trying to control but Smek postures up.
Alemaieda throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Rollo Smek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Alemaieda's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
Alemaieda tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A head kick from Alemaieda lands but Smek takes it in his stride. Alemaieda misses with a hook to the body
and Smek counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Smek. Smek tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Alemaieda is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Smek is stalling in the full guard. Alemaieda is pulling down on Smek's head. It's preventing any offense from Smek, at least for the moment. Smek drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smek jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alemaieda is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Smek is controlling him. Alemaieda being controlled here, momentarily. Smek decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Smek closes the distance and clinches up with Alemaieda, looking for a takedown. Smek pushes Alemaieda against the cage but Alemaieda circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Smek with a poor takedown and Alemaieda counters with a single leg into guard. Smek didn't expect that. Ricardo Alemaieda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rollo Smek. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Smek looking to hit a scissor sweep but Alemaieda is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alemaieda postures up.
Smek is pulling down on Alemaieda's head. It's preventing any offense from Alemaieda, at least for the moment. Alemaieda throwing strikes from guard but Smek blocks nicely. Smek can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Alemaieda controls the pace. Smek keeping moving, preventing Alemaieda from controlling successfully. Alemaieda is really struggling to control Smek but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smek utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Smek lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Smek closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Alemaieda takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Smek is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Alemaieda is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Alemaieda tries to bench press Smek off him but Smek keeps the position. Smek stands up. Alemaieda has his takedown stuffed and Smek counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alemaieda is pulling down on Smek's head to control his posture. This has been an exciting period of action! Alemaieda trying to keep a closed guard but Smek is proving a slippery customer.
Alemaieda manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Smek manages to get himself to full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Alemaieda's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Alemaieda trying to control the position from guard on top but Smek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Alemaieda postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Rollo Smek. I think Smek has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
