Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stanton Crowe!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedor misses with an uppercut. Crowe saw that one coming.
A jab from Crowe misses.
Fedor missing with a left hand there. Crowe was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Crowe displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fedor throws out the jab.
Crowe misses with a low kick.

Crowe looking to score a takedown here. Fedor is defending well but Crowe drives through and ends up in Fedor's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crowe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Fedor working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Crowe.
Crowe trying to control but Fedor is working from the bottom.
Crowe scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Fedor will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Crowe wants to pass the guard but Fedor is keeping the position.

Crowe prevents Fedor from getting back to his feet.
Crowe advances to half guard.
Still in half guard, Crowe seems content to control.
Fedor is looking to improve his position.
Fedor avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Crowe.

Crowe trying to mount his opponent but Fedor defends it.

Crowe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fedor's head.
Crowe uses his free foot to push down on Fedor's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fedor.
Crowe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stanton Crowe is the new heavyweight champion!
In his post fight interview, Stanton Crowe started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
