Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Mcdonald! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mitsuakii Inose! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcdonald shoots for a takedown but Inose saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mcdonald looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Inose is fending him off so far but Mcdonald persists. Nope, Inose circles away and we're back to standing. Mcdonald fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Mcdonald. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mcdonald works over Inose's head and body with a nice combination. Mcdonald throws a lazy body kick and Inose counters with a shoot takedown. Mcdonald fights it but they end up in guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Inose is stalling in the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Inose trying to control but Mcdonald is working from the bottom. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Inose stopping the sweep attempt from Mcdonald. Mcdonald keeping moving, preventing Inose from controlling successfully. Inose engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mitsuakii Inose hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Inose defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mcdonald. Mcdonald clinches up against the cage. Mcdonald tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Inose smiles and moves away.
Mcdonald closes the distance and clinches up with Inose, looking for a takedown. Mcdonald pushes Inose against the cage but Inose circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Inose changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mcdonald tries to avoid it but Inose manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mcdonald to the ground. Mcdonald escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck for Inose with that takedown attempt. Inose shoots in for a takedown but Mcdonald shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Inose throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mcdonald's waist but Mcdonald gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Inose off to one side. Mcdonald keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Mcdonald stuffs the takedown attempt from Inose. Inose gets slowly back to his feet. Inose looks gassed! Mcdonald shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Inose as he avoids it easily. Mcdonald shoots in for a takedown but Inose shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Inose shoots in and drives through. Mcdonald sprawls well. Mcdonald moves to clinch but Inose breaks away and Inose counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Mcdonald is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Inose pulls his head out easily. Mcdonald preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Inose is keen to just control but Mcdonald is a slippery customer. Mcdonald wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Inose is controlling the pace.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mitsuakii Inose has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Inose shoots in for a takedown but Mcdonald shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mcdonald misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Josh Mcdonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck for Mcdonald with that takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitsuakii Inose dominated that round. That's time! Mcdonald's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mcdonald with a lazy takedown attempt and Inose counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mcdonald's guard now. Inose stops Mcdonald from standing up. Mcdonald wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Inose has gone for a leg lock! Mcdonald slips out almost immediately though and dives into Inose's guard. Mcdonald sitting in guard here, content to control. Mcdonald won't allow Inose to get back to his feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Inose keeping full guard, as Mcdonald tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Inose wants to stand up but Mcdonald is controlling him. Mcdonald drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mcdonald jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mcdonald stands and steps away. Inose gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mcdonald. Inose has a takedown stuffed. Inose misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcdonald throws a head kick but Inose moves out of range.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Inose shoots in for a takedown but Mcdonald shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Josh Mcdonald has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mitsuakii Inose. Mcdonald keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Mcdonald looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mcdonald closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Inose prevents a body shot from Mcdonald. Mcdonald jumps guard but Inose stands there with Mcdonald around his waist. Mcdonald gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Inose tries for a takedown. No joy.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Mcdonald drags the fight down to the ground.

Mcdonald has control of Inose's left arm, preventing Inose from doing any damage. Inose trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcdonald is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mcdonald is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mitsuakii Inose wasn't active enough on the ground. Inose leaves Mcdonald with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mcdonald shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Inose as he avoids it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Josh Mcdonald will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Inose stopping the sweep attempt from Mcdonald. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mcdonald can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Inose controls the pace.
