The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pietro throws a series of punches but Nunes avoids them all with ease.
Nunes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has St Pietro pinned against the cage. St Pietro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Nunes has taken the fight to the clinch.

St Pietro throws a right and a left that Nunes avoids nicely.
St Pietro dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nunes. That did some damage!

A momentary lapse in concentration from St Pietro enables Nunes to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. St Pietro manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

St Pietro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nunes on the ground.

Nunes drops back looking for a leg! St Pietro is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and St Pietro manages to kick Nunes off! Nunes jumps back into St Pietro's guard.

Nunes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nunes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nunes is defended easily by St Pietro.

Nunes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nunes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. St Pietro manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

St Pietro stalks Nunes and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nunes's face. Nunes staggers backwards, shaken.
