Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harry Slater!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slater fails with the takedown.
Black ducks under a wild hook from Slater.
Slater connects with a nice looking jab.
Slater fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Black manages to avoid it.
Slater looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Black is fending him off so far but Slater persists. Nope, Black circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice uppercut lands for Slater. That snapped Black's head back.
Slater stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Black.
Black steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Slater.
Slater misses the shot to the body.
Slater misses with a takedown attempt - Black sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Vik Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Slater.

Slater thows a body shot but no joy.

Slater throws an overhand right that lands on Black's shoulder, as Black tries to avoid the shot.
Slater looks to land a left hand but Black moved out of range nicely.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Black lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Slater has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Slater and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
A looping hook to the body misses from Slater. Black does a little dance to reset his feet.

Slater is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Black rather than just go for the knockout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Slater tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Black was well out of range. Poor timing from Slater.

Black takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Slater shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Black napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Slater is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Black is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Slater scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Black to see if he's OK.

Slater is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Black has escaped the position, nice work there.

Black on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Black tries to get out of the position.

Slater in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Slater is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Black is trying to escape and Slater transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Black is forced to tap! Nice work there by Slater! Very nice indeed!
