The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Megaphny defending well as Payne loads up on a big left hand.
Payne throws a right and a left that Megaphny avoids nicely.
Megaphny thuds his right hand into Payne's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Payne looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Megaphny lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Megaphny blocks a jab.
Payne throws a right hand that Megaphny ducks under and follows up with a left that Megaphny also avoids with ease.
Megaphny closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Payne quickly recovers to half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Payne tries to get to full guard but Megaphny has control of the leg.
