Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Rook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Sutherland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rook might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Shinedown-Simple Man. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Rook! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Sutherland! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.

Rook throws a wild body kick that Sutherland sees coming a mile off. Sutherland looks for a takedown but Rook sprawls well. Sutherland on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Sutherland moves out of range of the body kick.
Rook fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sutherland, pushing him back against the cage. Rook tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Rook lands a nice knee to the body.
Sutherland lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Rook trying to control here.
Rook might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rook makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rook. Rook is controlling Sutherland's posture.

Sutherland wants to control from the top but Rook keeps moving. Sutherland stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rook swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rook looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rook keeping moving, preventing Sutherland from controlling successfully.

Sutherland lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rook circles away quickly and effectively. Sutherland fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Decent striking displayed by Sutherland there.

Rook throws a quick inside leg kick. Rook has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sutherland.
Rook drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sutherland is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sutherland is controlling Rook's posture. Rook makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Rook tries to free his leg and advance position but Sutherland is retaining full guard. Rook with a nice head shot there.

Rook is looking to work some ground and pound but Sutherland has wrist control. Rook postures up and lands a big shot to Sutherland's brow. Rook wants to control from the top but Sutherland keeps moving. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rook with a flurry of punches that miss. Rook works over Sutherland with some ground and pound from guard. Rook connects with a couple of short punches. Sutherland preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rook pushes down on Sutherland's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Rook is working for a kimura but Sutherland is defending it quite comfortably.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rook not landing any meaningful shots this time. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sutherland manages to get to full guard.
Sutherland is trying to keep Rook in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Will Rook dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Rook tries to clinch up. Sutherland throws a right and a left that both miss. Sutherland pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sutherland takes a body punch but keeps moving. Sutherland throws a head kick but Rook moves out of range.
Sutherland takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Rook tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sutherland was well out of range. Poor timing from Rook. Sutherland misses with an attempted mid kick.
Rook closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sutherland did well to prevent Rook getting side control. Sutherland won't allow Rook to pass to mount. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rook winds up and cracks Sutherland with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Rook lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

A much better position for Sutherland. Rook advances to half guard. Sutherland is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rook scores with a couple of nice shots. Rook is nestled in close to Sutherland, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Rook takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Sutherland is rocked! Sutherland tries to roll over but Rook keeps him under control. Sutherland is still in real trouble! Can Rook finish him? Rook scores with a big shot! Sutherland's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Sutherland! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Will Rook! Will Rook spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
