Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tamonta moves away.
Barnes connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tamonta momentarily.
Barnes darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Barnes fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Tamonta scores a takedown into full mount!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Barnes is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Barnes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Tamonta fails to move to back control.
Tamonta wants to finish this one by submission but Barnes is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Tamonta.
Barnes regains half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tamonta got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barnes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tamonta has managed to get both his arms back between Barnes's legs - danger averted.
Barnes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tamonta is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tamonta drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tamonta jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Tamonta postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Barnes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tamonta, into his guard.

Tamonta throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Barnes escapes and throws Tamonta's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Barnes can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tamonta is looking to escape.

Barnes wants to control the pace but Tamonta is squirming around nicely.
Barnes has hold of Tamonta's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tamonta manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Tamonta is trying desperately to improve position.
Barnes works his way to his opponent's back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barnes has the hooks in. Tamonta is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Tamonta tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Barnes unloads with some shots from mount but Tamonta bucks and avoids them well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Calvin Barnes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Barnes has hold of Tamonta's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Tamonta tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Barnes cranks the arm and Tamonta screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Tamonta, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Calvin Barnes!
Calvin Barnes spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
