The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laube looks to land a combination. De Souza sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Laube fails to land the takedown.
Laube tries to clinch but De Souza moves out of range.
Laube tries to close the distance and clinch up but De Souza swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Laube closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Laube is trying to work for a single leg takedown but De Souza pulls him back up using the underhooks.
De Souza is stalling here.
De Souza has picked Laube up - he's going for a ride! De Souza dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Well, if De Souza is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

De Souza in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Laube tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from De Souza!
