The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Solo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Solo wants it to stay on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hope Solo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Beharry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Solo's waist but Solo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Beharry off to one side.
Hope Solo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnson Beharry.

Solo throws a shot from downtown. Beharry moves away and avoids it.
Beharry takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Solo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Solo moves to clinch but Beharry breaks away
and Beharry counters with a nice leg kick.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Beharry, right into the meat.
Solo will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Solo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Solo takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Beharry closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Solo's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
