Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noah Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakz Skedol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skedol pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Skedol is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Skedol misses with a hook. Payne ducked under it nicely.
Skedol walks into a left hand.
It looks like Jakz Skedol has been cut.
Jakz Skedol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Skedol throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Payne cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Skedol stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Payne takes a jab right on the kisser.
Payne throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Skedol works over Payne's head and body with a nice combination.
Skedol uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Payne.
Skedol stuffs the takedown.
Payne is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Skedol.
Payne fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Skedol manages to avoid it.
Payne fails in his attempt to clinch.
Payne scores with a punch to the head.
Payne thumps Skedol with a low kick.
Skedol takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Skedol looks gassed!

Payne throws a head kick that misses.
A swing and a miss from Payne.
Payne chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Payne ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Skedol moves away.
Payne thows a body shot but no joy.
Payne is trying hard to land a takedown here. Skedol sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Skedol avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Skedol misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Payne.
Payne fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Skedol sprawls well initially but Payne persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Payne lands a nice short elbow.
Skedol looks like he's trying to stand up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Payne is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Skedol!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Payne jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Skedol manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Payne thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Payne has hold of Skedol's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Skedol tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Payne cranks the arm and Skedol screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Skedol, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Noah Payne!
Noah Payne really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that [CBK] The Smashwear Corporation logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
