The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin moves in looking to clinch but Ostrok pushes him off.
Karelin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ostrok moves out of range as Karelin strikes.
Karelin closes the distance and clinches.
Ostrok wants to stall.
Karelin throws an elbow that misses.
Ostrok takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Pawel Ostrok has been cut.
Ostrok has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Karelin after a bit of a struggle.
Karelin pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Ostrok has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Karelin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Karelin looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Ostrok is looking to break free of the clinch but Karelin has double underhooks.
Karelin lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Karelin lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Ostrok looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ostrok is trying to break the clinch but Karelin is controlling him.

Pawel Ostrok's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Pawel Ostrok's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
