14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rebaldo Louza! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Louza with a lazy takedown attempt and Thomas counters with a three punch combo that has Louza backing up. Louza nods at Thomas to acknowledge the strikes. Louza misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Louza fails with the takedown. Din Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rebaldo Louza. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thomas controlling his opponent.

Thomas wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Louza, who protects the arm well. Louza parries the strikes from Thomas easily there. Thomas is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Louza to escape.

Thomas is looking to take a break and control but Louza is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Thomas tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas lands an elbow. Louza regains half guard there - taking advantage of Thomas's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Thomas in particular looking to stall. Louza is looking to improve his position.
Louza is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Thomas's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Thomas's back! Louza is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Thomas defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thomas manages to escape to his feet.

Louza has his takedown stuffed and Thomas counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Louza doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Louza fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Louza is breathing heavily. Thomas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Louza is defending against the submission attempts here by Thomas.

Thomas sitting in guard here, content to control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Thomas looking to sit in guard and control but Louza gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Thomas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Louza wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thomas keeps working. Louza is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Louza seems to be looking for submissions.

Din Thomas wins by unanimous decision! In his post fight interview, Din Thomas started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
