Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Karl Kunnas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karl Kunnas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank James!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James misses with a wild body shot.
James misses with a two punch combination.
Kunnas lands a really nice looking cross but James seems unphased.
Kunnas misses with an uppercut.
James pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kunnas back to the cage. James follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Karl Kunnas has been cut.
Kunnas lunges at James with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by James's hand.
Kunnas lands with an overhand left.
Kunnas scores with a kick to the midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Frank James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

James shoots in looking for a takedown but Kunnas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing James's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

James fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kunnas avoids it really well and circles away.

James looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kunnas is fending him off so far but James persists. Nope, Kunnas circles away and we're back to standing.

James looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

James digs a good body shot into Kunnas's ribs.
Kunnas looks to land a left hand but James moved out of range nicely.
Kunnas is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
James shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kunnas sprawls well. Kunnas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. James gets slowly back to his feet.

James scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

James is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Kunnas is trying to maintain the position but James is very close to passing his half guard.

James is working for a submission of some sort.

Kunnas is defending against the submission attempts here by James.
James is just content to waste time from the top position. Kunnas takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
James looks to score with a jab to the body but Kunnas is just out of range.
A combination from James does no damage.
Frank James is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kunnas has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kunnas there as he acknowledges the shot.
James takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Kunnas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by James.

James gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
James throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kunnas throws a solid leg kick but James takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kunnas.

James looks to land a body kick but Kunnas moved away.

Kunnas lands a slapping body shot.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from James lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kunnas has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kunnas and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

James gets tackled into the cage by Kunnas. Kunnas maintains the clinch.

James tightens his grip and picks Kunnas up, before dumping him to the ground. Kunnas manages to land in guard.
Kunnas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for James on the ground.

James drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and James jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kunnas wants to sweep here but James controlling him for the moment.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kunnas decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
James slips a jab and a cross from Kunnas.
James throws a right hand that Kunnas ducks under and follows up with a left that Kunnas also avoids with ease.

Kunnas lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kunnas.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kunnas throws a looping overhand right but James ducks down to avoid it.
James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kunnas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Karl Kunnas will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

James has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kunnas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
