Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gillbert Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barack Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gillbert Sakurai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Barack Bush! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sakurai tries for a takedown but Bush sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sakurai tries to sprawl but Bush drives through with a takedown into half guard. Sakurai keeps control of the position for the meantime. Ground and pound from Bush. Bush is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bush is working for a kimura but Sakurai is defending it quite comfortably.
Bush is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sakurai is just riding it out for now. Bush eventually gives up the hold. Bush is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bush is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sakurai sees it coming and defends easily. Bush is working for a kimura but Sakurai is defending it quite comfortably.
Bush is looking for a kimura here.
Bush throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bush gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Bush closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sakurai to the mat! Sakurai manages to get full guard. Bush stopping the sweep attempt from Sakurai. Sakurai knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bush on the ground. Bush works a leg free and moves into half guard. Bush wants to stand but Sakurai has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sakurai avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bush. Sakurai tries to get to full guard but Bush has control of the leg. Bush is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bush is looking for a kimura but Sakurai is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bush to get the leverage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sakurai wants to control but Bush is keeping busy.
Bush is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Sakurai taking some punishment here, with Bush in his half guard. Bush wants to work for an arm triangle but Sakurai is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bush working the head and body with strikes. Bush is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sakurai doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bush. Bush is looking for a kimura here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sakurai avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bush. Bush is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sakurai defends it well. Bush is working for a submission of some sort.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bush thows a huge punch but Sakurai dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Barack Bush dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Bush changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sakurai looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Bush tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bush has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Bush wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sakurai, who protects the arm well. Bush thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sakurai tries to get back to half guard but can't. Bush looks up at the clock and then as Sakurai takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bush smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's one minute gone in the round. Bush has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Sakurai is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Bush yanks on the arm and Sakurai is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Bush.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Barack Bush!
