Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deshawn Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dynamite Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nixon has chosen Fear is Our Tradition by Ignite as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dynamite Nixon!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace has his takedown stuffed
and Nixon counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wallace shoots in for a double leg but Nixon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jab, jab by Nixon - just one landing.
Wallace shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deshawn Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nixon scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Nixon is squirming around, avoiding Wallace's attempts to control the action.

Wallace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wallace shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nixon swings for the body but Wallace moves out of range.
Wallace shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nixon's guard.

Wallace stays in close to Nixon's body and controls the position.
Wallace throws an elbow that misses. Nixon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wallace's guard. Nice move by Nixon!
Deshawn Wallace overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nixon rushes Wallace and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Nixon misses with a punch on the inside.
Nixon lands a left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Deshawn Wallace will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Nixon clinches up with Wallace and pushes him back against the cage.
Wallace is working for takedown but Nixon is calmly controlling the position for now.
Wallace is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Nixon struggles to land a body shot inside as Wallace controls his hands.
Nixon lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Nixon tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Wallace wants the takedown. Nixon is fighting it off but Wallace persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Nixon's guard against the cage.

Nixon tries to close the distance and clinch but Wallace swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Dynamite Nixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nixon misses the shot to the body.
Nixon swings widly with a right hand
and Wallace counters with a slapping leg kick.

and Wallace counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nixon is not content to let Wallace control the position.
Wallace tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wallace has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Nixon is looking for a sweep.
Wallace scores with punches from side control.
Check out the look on Wallace's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Nixon is not content to let Wallace control the position.

Wallace throws an elbow but Nixon slips to the side and avoids it well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nixon parries the strikes from Wallace easily there. Wallace is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Nixon to escape.
And that's the end of the fight!
Deshawn Wallace showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wallace, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
