These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lightfoot, as that shot connected.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lightfoot lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Thompson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Thompson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Cary Thompson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Thompson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Lightfoot sends Thompson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lightfoot is motioning to the referee to let Thompson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Thompson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lightfoot.
Lightfoot closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Thompson! Lightfoot dives in looking to finish! Thompson is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

A relieved looking Richard Lightfoot thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
