Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Albano Cuadros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Ferreora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonas Ferreora will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Albano Cuadros!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jonas Ferreora!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferreora gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Cuadros can't get the takedown.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Ferreora has eaten all the pies!

Ferreora is working for takedown but Cuadros is calmly controlling the position for now.

Ferreora looking to break Cuadros's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Cuadros remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Ferreora will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's time! Cuadros's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Ferreora shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cuadros as he jumps to the side.
Cuadros takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


It looks like Albano Cuadros has been cut.
Cuadros shoots in for a takedown but Ferreora shows good takedown defense.

Ferreora tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cuadros sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ferreora somewhat.

Ferreora is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cuadros decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ferreora, up you get!

We're going to have a standup here because Albano Cuadros wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Ferreora throws a head kick but Cuadros moves out of range.
Cuadros scores with a head kick. Ferreora tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Albano Cuadros is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ferreora shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cuadros pinned against the cage. Cuadros gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cuadros shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ferreora but Ferreora pushes him off and we're back to square one.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ferreora closes the distance and clinches up with Cuadros, looking for a takedown. Ferreora pushes Cuadros against the cage but Cuadros circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Cuadros tries for a takedown but Ferreora sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ferreora wants to clinch up but Cuadros keeps it at a distance.
Cuadros looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ferreora is fending him off so far but Cuadros persists. Nope, Ferreora circles away and we're back to standing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ferreora looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ferreora tries to clinch up but Cuadros circles away and keeps his distance.
Cuadros doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Cuadros misses with a takedown attempt - Ferreora sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Albano Cuadros. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ferreora throws a sloppy head kick and Cuadros moves out of range easily.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ferreora changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cuadros tries to avoid it but Ferreora manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cuadros to the ground. Cuadros escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ferreora's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Cuadros blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Cuadros knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ferreora on the ground.
Cuadros throws an elbow that misses. Ferreora uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cuadros's guard. Nice move by Ferreora!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ferreora avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jonas Ferreora comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ferreora has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
