Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Takeo Okamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lasi Kukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Okamoto comes to the cage accompanied by Fleur de lis - Jucifer. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Takeo Okamoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 9 - 2, fighting out of London, Lasi Kukko! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kukko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Okamoto counters with a lovely straight right hand! Okamoto works Kukko's body with a nice hook. Kukko throws a poor cross that misses
and Okamoto counters with a good low kick that Kukko was not able to check. Kukko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Okamoto darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Lasi Kukko has been cut. Okamoto drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Okamoto misses with a head kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kukko with a nice cross. Kukko scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Okamoto blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kukko. Okamoto wants to improve his position but Kukko is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kukko wants to free his trapped foot but Okamoto is holding on for dear life with his legs. Kukko misses with a head shot. Okamoto uses the momentum to regain guard. Kukko wants to control from the top but Okamoto keeps moving. Kukko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kukko cracks Okamoto with a solid left hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Okamoto is adopting a defensive guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Okamoto keeping moving, preventing Kukko from controlling successfully. Kukko throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Okamoto works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Okamoto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kukko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Okamoto keeping moving, preventing Kukko from controlling successfully. Kukko is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Okamoto keeping full guard, as Kukko tries to pass. Kukko missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kukko slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kukko stands up over Okamoto, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Okamoto has control of Kukko's left arm, preventing Kukko from doing any damage. Kukko wants to control from the top but Okamoto keeps moving. Okamoto has Kukko pulled in close to control his posture. Okamoto's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Okamoto throws a leg kick that misses. Nice straight punches there by Okamoto. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Okamoto. Donk. Kukko catches Okamoto right on the button with a cross. Okamoto throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kukko on the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kukko looking to land some kicks to the body here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Okamoto scores with a jab. Kukko acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Okamoto connects with a right hand. Kukko shakes it off. Okamoto will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kukko's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kukko duly obliges. Okamoto misses with an uppercut. Kukko saw that one coming. Kukko throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Okamoto sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kukko shoots in for a takedown but Okamoto shows good takedown defense. Kukko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Okamoto pulls Kukko in close to his closed guard and prevents Kukko from doing any damage or advancing position. Kukko seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Okamoto has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Kukko has passed into side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Takeo Okamoto will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Lasi Kukko's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lasi Kukko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kukko staying out of range there. Kukko is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Okamoto's half guard. Okamoto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kukko is trying to control the action in half guard but Okamoto is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kukko wants to pass the guard but Okamoto is defending well. Kukko slips a nice elbow through Okamoto's hands, connecting with Okamoto's forehead. Okamoto has his hands clasped together around Kukko's back. He's all about the action. Kukko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kukko is looking to advance position but Okamoto won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kukko trying to control the action but Okamoto is working from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Kukko slows the pace down in half guard.

A slow jab from Kukko misses its intended target. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Okamoto throws a jab when Kukko was well out of range. Takeo Okamoto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A telegraphed right hand from Kukko misses the target. Kukko throws a series of punches but Okamoto avoids them all with ease. Kukko shoots for a double leg takedown but Okamoto sprawls well. He's pushed Kukko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A swing and a miss from Okamoto. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Okamoto scores with a jab to the body. Okamoto moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Kukko closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kukko is trying to control the action in half guard but Okamoto is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kukko is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Okamoto trying to control but Kukko postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kukko fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kukko thumps Okamoto with a low kick. Kukko takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Okamoto defending well as Kukko loads up on a big left hand. Okamoto displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kukko throws out the jab. A solid leg kick lands there for Okamoto.

That's going to take a lot out of Lasi Kukko. Okamoto throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kukko on the side of the head. Kukko takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Kukko is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Okamoto slips a straight right by Kukko. Kukko throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kukko shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
That has opened up Lasi Kukko's cut even more. Okamoto with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Okamoto is looking to clinch but Kukko is avoiding it.
Lasi Kukko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Okamoto takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Okamoto misses with a looping left. Okamoto is looking to slow Kukko down with leg kicks. Kukko keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Okamoto lands a head kick. Kukko smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Okamoto slips a jab from Kukko. Okamoto slips a jab and a cross from Kukko.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kukko takes a swing at Okamoto's ribcage but misses. Okamoto thuds his shin into the meat of Kukko's side. Kukko slips a straight right by Okamoto. Okamoto throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Takeo Okamoto is winning the standup battle so far. Okamoto throws a jab when Kukko was well out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Takeo Okamoto dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Lasi Kukko's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kukko takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Kukko ducks under a wild hook from Okamoto. Kukko fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Okamoto to the ground. Kukko is now in Okamoto's guard. Okamoto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kukko trying to control the position from guard on top but Okamoto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Okamoto tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kukko is trying to force a seperation but Okamoto has the dominant position. Okamoto pushes Kukko back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Kukko jumps guard but Okamoto turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Kukko managing to block the knees to the body from Okamoto.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Okamoto will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kukko up against the cage. Kukko jumps guard but Okamoto turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Okamoto keeps control of Kukko as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kukko wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kukko misses with a short punch on the inside. Okamoto is trying to stall.

Okamoto stalls. Okamoto lands a nice elbow. Okamoto looks to throw an elbow but misses. Kukko avoids the elbow strike from Okamoto, against the cage.

The cut above Lasi Kukko's eye is starting to cause him problems now. A head punch on the inside from Okamoto fails to land. Kukko tries to pull guard but Okamoto holds him up against the cage and eventually Kukko drops back down to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Takeo Okamoto. Okamoto throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kukko. An inside leg kick lands from Kukko. Okamoto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Okamoto throws an overhand right that lands on Kukko's shoulder, as Kukko tries to avoid the shot. Kukko swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Okamoto connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. This has been an exciting period of action! Kukko scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kukko blocks a jab. Kukko is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Okamoto. Kukko stuns Okamoto with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Kukko takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Kukko lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kukko blocks a leg kick. Okamoto lands the left hand. Kukko throws an overhand right that lands on Okamoto's shoulder, as Okamoto tries to avoid the shot. No joy there for Kukko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kukko. Kukko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd cheers as Kukko lands an impressive looking overhand right. Okamoto doesn't seem phased though. Kukko misses with a double jab.
Okamoto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kukko. Okamoto throws a lazy right hand but Kukko sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Horrible takedown by Kukko or perhaps it was just good defense by Okamoto which made him look bad. Okamoto throws out a loose jab but Kukko uses good head movement to avoid it. Okamoto looks to land a left hand but Kukko moved out of range nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okamoto scores with a hook. The fight moves into the clinch position. Okamoto throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kukko ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kukko no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Okamoto pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kukko is keeping the position for now. Okamoto sitting in guard here, content to control. Kukko is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Okamoto defends well. Kukko is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Okamoto is aware though and is defending well. Lasi Kukko has got the better of the ground game so far. Kukko is adopting a defensive guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Okamoto is pushing down on Kukko's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kukko is fighting to maintain full guard but Okamoto has managed to sneak the leg through. Kukko is looking to improve his position.

Kukko keeping hold of Okamoto's head, controlling as best he can. Okamoto seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Lasi Kukko's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
