3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carmelo Sanchez! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Barney Fife! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez throws a head kick but Fife moves out of range.
Fife ducks under a wild hook from Sanchez. Fife closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sanchez circles away. The crowd cheers as Sanchez lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fife doesn't seem phased though. Sanchez throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fife sees it coming and avoids it easily. Fife shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sanchez pinned against the cage. Sanchez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sanchez throws a low kick but it's checked well by Fife.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fife. Fife shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Carmelo Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barney Fife. Sanchez throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Carmelo Sanchez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fife looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fife shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sanchez but Sanchez pushes him off and we're back to square one. Barney Fife seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sanchez throws a hook but Fife avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Fife shoots in for a double leg but Sanchez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Sanchez misses with a body shot.

Fife tries to clinch there but Sanchez circles away.
Sanchez throws the left hand but Fife avoids the punch easily. Fife has a takedown stuffed. Fife moves out of range of the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez misses with a head kick.
Fife throws a leg kick that is checked and Sanchez counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Sanchez looking to finish! Sanchez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fife, up you get! Sanchez throws a sloppy head kick and Fife moves out of range easily. Fife tries to clinch and Sanchez counters with a right hand to the body. Fife wants to clinch and Sanchez counters with a big right hand! Oh Fife is in trouble here! Sanchez follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
