Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kaio Beitum!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benevidez has managed to clinch.
Beitum is trying to pull guard but Benevidez has him pressed against the cage.
Benevidez dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Benevidez wants to take the fight to the mat but Beitum manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Benevidez is looking for a takedown.
Beitum drops down looking for an ankle pick but Benevidez pulls his leg out and moves away.
Benevidez pushes Beitum up against the cage in a clinch.

Beitum drags the fight down to the ground.

Beitum escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Benevidez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Benevidez wants to pass the guard but Beitum is keeping the position.

Beitum is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Beitum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Benevidez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Beitum tries to bench press Benevidez off him but Benevidez keeps the position.
Benevidez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Benevidez tries to advance to mount but Beitum denies him.
Beitum wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The referee asks Benevidez politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Benevidez prefers to stall for the moment though.
