Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sayid Jarrah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baker has chosen Lamb of God- Walk With Me In Hell as his entrance music. Sayid Jarrah has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sayid Jarrah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adrian Baker!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baker gets caught flat footed, as Jarrah shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Baker looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Jarrah stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Baker swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Baker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jarrah can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jarrah wants to control from the top but Baker keeps moving.
Jarrah stands up over Baker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Jarrah wants to control from the top but Baker keeps moving.
Jarrah keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Baker's head.
Jarrah wants to control from the top but Baker keeps moving.

Jarrah thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jarrah postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Jarrah seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Baker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jarrah is pushing down on Baker's leg trying to pass to half guard. Baker is fighting to maintain full guard but Jarrah has managed to sneak the leg through.
Jarrah seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Baker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Baker wants to control but Jarrah passes into side.
Jarrah scores with a couple of short elbows.
Baker is trying to improve his position.

Jarrah wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Baker, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jarrah advances to mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jarrah lands a big elbow.
Jarrah sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jarrah with shots to the head and body - Baker looks very uncomfortable down there.

Jarrah is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Baker to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Baker shrugs it off.
Jarrah takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Baker has given up his back.
Jarrah scores with punches and elbows.

Jarrah is cranking Baker's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Baker! He's tightened the choke and Baker is tapping out!
