Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ezra Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Declan Duddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 9 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ezra Ray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Declan Duddy! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Duddy does no damage. Ray keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Duddy moves out of range of the strikes. Declan Duddy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Duddy has a takedown stuffed. Ray swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Duddy. Ray throws the left hand but Duddy avoids the punch easily. Nice takedown defense from Ray. No joy for Duddy on that attempt. Ezra Ray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Declan Duddy. Duddy misses with a combination
and Ray counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duddy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ray swivels and escapes. Duddy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ray swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ezra Ray is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ray fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Duddy manages to avoid it. Duddy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ray sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ray misses the shot to the body. Duddy fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ray connects with a high kick. Duddy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ray defends it nicely. Duddy throws a head kick but Ray moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Duddy tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ray makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Duddy won't allow Ray to sweep him here. Ray is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ezra Ray wasn't doing enough on the ground. Duddy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ray avoids the body shot from Duddy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Duddy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ray's guard. Ray thows a body shot but no joy. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Duddy. Ray looks for the body kick but Duddy saw that one coming. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duddy shoots in for a takedown but Ray shows good takedown defense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duddy closes the distance and lands a one-two. Declan Duddy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ray connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Duddy's hands. Ray connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Duddy momentarily.
Duddy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ray swivels and escapes. Ezra Ray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Declan Duddy. Duddy fails with the takedown letting Ray counter with a right hand. Duddy fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Horrible takedown by Duddy or perhaps it was just good defense by Ray which made him look bad. Ray stuffs the takedown attempt from Duddy. Duddy gets slowly back to his feet.

Duddy misses with a takedown attempt and Ray counters with a head kick that drops Duddy to the mat! Duddy scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Duddy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Duddy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Duddy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ray connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Duddy scrambles back to his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ray ducks under a wild hook from Duddy. Duddy doesn't manage to clinch there - Ray circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ezra Ray. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ray, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
