Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Starke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janathan Ho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Starke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Janathan Ho! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ho fails with an attempt to clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Starke. Ho doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Ho fails in his attempt to clinch. Ho wants to clinch. Ho looks for a takedown but Starke sprawls well. Ho wants to clinch and Starke cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Excellent takedown into side control there by Starke. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Ho can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ho is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Starke misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Ho regains half guard. Starke wants to stand up but Ho manages to regain full guard. Ho working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Starke stays in close to Ho's body and controls the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ho is on top in guard.
Ho pushing down on Starke's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Ho throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Ho sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Starke defending well though. Ho is thwarting Starke's attempts to control the position. Starke actively working from the bottom here. Starke is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ho throwing shots but Starke is blocking nicely. Starke is trying to maintain the position but Ho is very close to passing his half guard. Ho passes the guard and advances to mount! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ho with a couple of short strikes. Ho with good strikes from the mount here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ho is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Starke is surviving well by controlling Ho's body position as best he can. Ho connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Starke is desperately trying to improve his position but Ho has a good base and remains in mount. Ho looking to control but Starke is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Starke on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Starke tries to get out of the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Starke wants to control but Ho is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Janathan Ho dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ho looks for a takedown but Starke sprawls well. Starke closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ho circles away. Ho throws a sloppy body shot
and Starke counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Ho shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ho wants to clinch up but Starke keeps it at a distance. Starke rushes Ho and presses him up against the cage. Starke manages to break the clinch.
Starke fails with a takedown attempt. Ho shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Starke as he avoids it easily. Michael Starke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Janathan Ho.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ho misses with a few strikes there.
Ho tries to close the distance and clinch but Starke swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ho misses with a takedown attempt - Starke sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Starke defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ho. Ho leaves Starke with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Starke shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ho defends it nicely. Michael Starke is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Starke keeps the fight on the outside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A decent looking body kick lands there for Ho. Ho dives in and grabs Starke's left leg, looking for a takedown. Starke pushes down on Ho's head and hops out. Starke closes the distance and clinches. Ho manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Ho is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Starke wants to pass the guard but Ho is keeping the position. Ho is looking to stand up but Starke isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Starke trying to control the position from guard on top but Ho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ho is on top in guard.
Starke can't keep his opponent in guard - Ho advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Ho thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Starke wants to get back to full guard but Ho has passed into side control. Ho stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Starke tries a head kick but it misses.
Ho shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Starke as he avoids it easily. Ho looks to land a body kick but Starke moved away. Ho shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Starke sprawls well. Starke wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ho gets slowly back to his feet. Starke shoots in for a takedown but Ho shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ho misses with a takedown attempt - Starke sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Janathan Ho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

A battle for position here, against the cage. Starke is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ho to keep the fight standing. Ho gets underhooks to prevent Starke's takedown attempt.
Starke wants to take the fight to the mat but Ho manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Starke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Starke tries for a takedown but Ho manages to get underhooks.
Ho is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Starke is keeping busy. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ho has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Starke is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Ho fails to pull guard.

Ho drops down looking for an ankle pick but Starke pulls his leg out and moves away.
Starke cracks a nice hook into Ho's ribs. Ho closes this distance looking for a takedown but Starke circles away. Starke shoots in and drives through. Ho sprawls well. Starke thuds a left hand into Ho's body. Ho shoots in looking for a takedown but Starke manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ho's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Starke closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ho tries to pull guard but Starke forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Starke's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Ho tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Starke smiles and moves away.
Ho scores with a head kick. Starke tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Starke fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ho gets a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ho has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Starke uses from the top position. Starke knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ho on the ground. Ho pushes Starke off and gets back to his feet.
Starke shoots in for a takedown but Ho shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Starke shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ho but Ho pushes him off and we're back to square one. Starke wants to clinch up but Ho keeps it at a distance. Ho shoots in but Starke avoids the takedown attempt easily. Starke scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ho in his tracks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Starke looks for a takedown but Ho sprawls well. Ho shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Starke defends it nicely. Starke has Ho up against the cage in a clinch.
Starke wants to get back to striking at distance but Ho won't allow it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A frustrated look appears on Ho's face as he tries to break the clinch. Michael Starke has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Janathan Ho is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ho tries to pull guard but Starke forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Michael Starke. I think Ho has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
