The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ss shoots in and bounces Papas off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
ss with a flurry of punches that miss.
Papas looking for a sweep. Not yet Papas, not yet.
ss landing with the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
ss forces his way into half guard.
ss thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Papas's head.
ss takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
ss not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
ss is working for a submission of some sort.
ss has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Papas defend it? ss steps over the head and cranks it - Papas is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for ss!
