Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michal Iksinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Novikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Iksinski might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Skyrim Theme. Michal Iksinski could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Novikov's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michal Iksinski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Novikov! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Novikov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Novikov lands a head kick. Iksinski smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Iksinski shoots in looking for a takedown. Novikov tries to sprawl out of it but Iksinski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Novikov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Iksinski avoids the head kick by Novikov.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Novikov. Iksinski shrugs it off though. Iksinski throws out a loose jab but Novikov uses good head movement to avoid it. Novikov throws a head kick but Iksinski moves out of range.
Iksinski throws a big shot that misses. Iksinski throws a looping overhand right but Novikov ducks down to avoid it. A swing and a miss from Novikov. Novikov throws a right and a left that Iksinski avoids nicely. Iksinski swings for the body but Novikov moves out of range.

Novikov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Iksinski manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Novikov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Novikov blocks a jab. Excellent takedown into side control there by Iksinski. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Iksinski fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Iksinski landing strikes. Novikov dodges the ground and pound from Iksinski. Iksinski taking a breather here. Iksinski in side control, throwing shots but Novikov defends. Check out the look on Iksinski's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Iksinski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Iksinski is trying to get an arm triangle but Novikov is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Iksinski is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Iksinski lands a nice forearm strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Iksinski seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Sloppy strikes there by Iksinski. Iksinski staying calm. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Iksinski wants to control but Novikov is keeping him busy. Iksinski controls the position from side control. Iksinski tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Iksinski landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Iksinski in side control lands a decent elbow. Iksinski trying to control the action but Novikov is working from the bottom. Iksinski fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Iksinski working the head and body with strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Iksinski wants to control but Novikov is keeping him busy. Novikov is letting Iksinski control him for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michal Iksinski dominated that round. That's time! Iksinski's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Iksinski gets in close and instigates a clinch. Iksinski jumps guard and drags Novikov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Iksinski looking for a triangle here. Novikov is fighting it but it looks tight! Iksinski pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Novikov is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Michal Iksinski! A relieved looking Michal Iksinski thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
