Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mister Sailo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mister Sailo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mister Sailo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mister Sailo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Diaz! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sailo misses with the combination.
Diaz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sailo's guard. Diaz controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. It looks like Diaz might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Diaz tries to stand but Sailo is controlling from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Carlos Diaz wasn't active enough on the ground. Sailo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz wants to stand but Sailo is controlling his posture from full guard. Sailo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Diaz postures up in Sailo's guard and throws a big left but Sailo blocks it. Diaz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sailo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Sailo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sailo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Diaz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sailo looking to control.
Diaz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sailo shoots in for a takedown but Diaz shows good takedown defense. Sailo throws a hook to the side of Diaz's head but Diaz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Carlos Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diaz throws a nice head kick!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sailo tries to clinch but Diaz moves away and Diaz counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Diaz. Diaz lands a left hand.
Diaz makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Diaz just leaning against Sailo, taking a breather. Diaz decides to pull guard. Sailo trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom. Diaz working a defensive guard here.
Sailo wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. Diaz wants to improve his position but instead Sailo has moved into half guard.
Sailo seems to be looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz wants to improve his position but Sailo is controlling well.

Sailo tries to stand and escape but Diaz is controlling the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sailo wants to control but Diaz is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz is trying to stand back up but Sailo is controlling him
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sailo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Diaz is just riding it out for now. Sailo eventually gives up the hold. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Diaz dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Diaz looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Diaz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sailo's head. Sailo is defending against the submission attempts here by Diaz.
Sailo is trying to stand up here but Diaz is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Diaz sitting and controlling from the half guard. Sailo moves into full guard.
Sailo is trying to keep Diaz in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sailo is really struggling to control Diaz but he's trying to hold on to the position. Sailo has a closed guard, preventing Diaz from standing up. Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sailo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Diaz trying to control but Sailo is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Mister Sailo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Diaz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sailo sprawls well initially but Diaz persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Sailo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Diaz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Diaz's back! Diaz is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Diaz looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Diaz rolls, trying to escape but Sailo keeps control of the position.
Sailo tries to get the hooks in deep but Diaz pushed the leg off. Diaz is trying to defend against the choke here but Sailo has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Sailo Tightens the hold and Diaz taps out furiously! Sailo displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mister Sailo!
