Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Victor Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vajas Tomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Victor Stevens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vajas Tomas! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevens misses with a looping left. Stevens throws a right hand that Tomas ducks under and follows up with a left that Tomas also avoids with ease. Stevens looks to land a combination but Tomas avoids it well. Stevens tries to clinch but Tomas moves away and Tomas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Stevens thinking. Stevens blocks the body kick.
Stevens throws a right and a left that Tomas avoids nicely. Tomas delivers a nice body kick. Tomas tries to keep at a distance but Stevens has taken the fight into the clinch. Stevens is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tomas to keep the fight standing. Stevens tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tomas just stands there and leans against the cage. Stevens's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tomas throws a nice outside leg kick. Stevens uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tomas. Stevens motions for Tomas to come forward. Stevens throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Tomas goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tomas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victor Stevens. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Tomas. Stevens does a little dance to reset his feet. Stevens throws a head kick that misses and Tomas counters with a stiff right hand. Stevens throws a lazy head kick and Tomas counters with a big head kick but Stevens shrugs it off. Stevens throws a head kick but Tomas moves out of range.

Stevens is breathing heavily. Stevens wants to clinch. Stevens throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tomas. Tomas fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Stevens fails with a takedown attempt. A head kick misses from Tomas. Tomas connects with a high kick.

Stevens throws the kick towards the body but Tomas avoids it. Stevens cracks Tomas with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Tomas scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Stevens fails to land with a series of punches.
Stevens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Stevens shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Tomas's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Tomas is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Stevens has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tomas is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stevens looking to control and managing it successfully. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tomas tries to buck Stevens off but Stevens takes his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vajas Tomas dominated that round. The cut man is working on Victor Stevens's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Tomas's jab looks to have found its range, popping Stevens under the eye. Stevens misses with a few strikes there.
Victor Stevens is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tomas lands a front kick. Stevens swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tomas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Stevens tries to clinch up and Tomas counters with a lovely straight right hand! Tomas misses with the body kick and Stevens counters with a head kick. Nice shot by Stevens. Victor Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tomas walks forward, straight into a front kick from Stevens. Tomas looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Tomas throws the kick towards the body but Stevens avoids it. Stevens lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Vajas Tomas seems to be getting the better of the standup. Stevens takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Tomas has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Stevens is looking to clinch but Tomas is avoiding it.
Tomas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stevens moves away. Stevens fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Tomas is looking to slow Stevens down with leg kicks. Sloppy strikes from Stevens. Those never looked like landing. Stevens misses with a head kick.
Stevens lands with a nice body kick. Tomas keeps the fight on the outside.

Stevens throws a series of strikes that have Tomas backpedaling.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stevens scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stevens tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tomas was well out of range. Poor timing from Stevens. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stevens. Tomas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Stevens's head backwards. Stevens tries to clinch but Tomas is having none of it. Tomas ducks right into an uppercut from Stevens. Stevens misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tomas moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tomas slaps away a takedown attempt from Stevens, before circling back to the center of the mat. Tomas connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stevens. Stevens circles away out of range and recomposes himself. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stevens. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victor Stevens. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tomas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Tomas lands a front kick. Tomas blocks a head kick by Stevens.
Tomas connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stevens. Stevens circles away out of range and recomposes himself. A solid body kick from Tomas. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A head kick by Stevens misses and Tomas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stevens is rocked! Tomas lands a nice looking kick to the body. Stevens takes a step back to recover. Oh Stevens is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Tomas cracks Stevens with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Stevens tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Tomas pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Stevens is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vajas Tomas! An out of breath Vajas Tomas thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
