The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Paul. Poppy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Poppy takes a swing at Paul's ribcage but misses.

Poppy walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Paul checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Paul throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Poppy scores with a takedown into Paul's guard.
Paul wants to stand but Poppy is controlling the position.

Poppy drops back looking for a leg! Paul is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Paul manages to kick Poppy off! Poppy jumps back into Paul's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Poppy postures up in Paul's guard and throws a big left but Paul blocks it.
Poppy stays in close to Paul's body and controls the position.
Poppy wants to control from the top but Paul keeps moving.

Poppy passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Poppy is looking to take a break and control but Paul is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Poppy has an Americana. Paul didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Poppy is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Poppy hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
