The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chuteboxe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Anubis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Anubis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Chuteboxe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anubis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Anubis stands up and waves to Chuteboxe to follow him.
Chuteboxe throws a right and a left that Anubis avoids nicely.
Chuteboxe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chuteboxe wants it to stay on the feet.
Chuteboxe swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Anubis creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Chuteboxe sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Chuteboxe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Anubis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Chuteboxe gets underhooks to prevent Anubis's takedown attempt.

Chuteboxe is looking to break free of the clinch but Anubis has double underhooks.
Anubis jumps guard but Chuteboxe stands there with Anubis around his waist. Anubis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Anubis is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Chuteboxe defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Even with his hooks in, Anubis manages to miss with strikes from the back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chuteboxe has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Anubis.

Anubis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chuteboxe swivels though and keeps the full guard.
