Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tex Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pekka Pikkarainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pikkarainen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Pikkarainen misses with a two punch combination.
Morgan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Morgan wants it to stay on the feet.
Pikkarainen jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Morgan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pikkarainen to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Morgan seems keen to control Pikkarainen's posture.

Pikkarainen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Morgan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pikkarainen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morgan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Morgan throws a hook but Pikkarainen blocks it.
Pikkarainen slips a straight right by Morgan.

A looping hook to the body misses from Pikkarainen. Morgan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pikkarainen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Morgan circles away.
Morgan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Pikkarainen shoots in for a takedown but Morgan shows good takedown defense.
Tex Morgan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pekka Pikkarainen.

Morgan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Pekka Pikkarainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morgan cracks Pikkarainen with a good jab.
Pikkarainen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Morgan defends it nicely.

Pikkarainen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Morgan was well out of range. Poor timing from Pikkarainen.
Morgan moves out of range as Pikkarainen strikes.
Morgan cracks Pikkarainen with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Morgan is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Pikkarainen looks gassed!
Morgan digs a good body shot into Pikkarainen's ribs.
Morgan drops Pikkarainen with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Pikkarainen! Morgan dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
