PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Bruens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zak Zinfandel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruens comes to the cage accompanied by River Below. On his way into the cage it seems that Paul Bruens has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Paul Bruens seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zak Zinfandel!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruens missing with a left hand there. Zinfandel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

so Zinfandel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Bruens escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zinfandel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bruens is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Zinfandel is aware though and is defending well.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Zinfandel enables Bruens to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Zinfandel manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
