Diaz has chosen Trick Daddy - Let's Go ft Twista & Lil Jon as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Red Forman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oscar Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Diaz misses with an uppercut.

Diaz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Forman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Forman manages to get back to half guard.

Diaz is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Forman has managed to free his arm - good work.

Diaz is working for a kimura but Forman is defending it quite comfortably.
Diaz is looking to stall here but Forman recovers full guard.
Forman tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz trying to control but Forman is working from the bottom.
Diaz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Forman misses with a kick to the body.
Diaz's jab looks to have found its range, popping Forman under the eye.
Diaz misses with an uppercut. Forman saw that one coming.
Forman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Diaz.
Diaz on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Forman doesn't manage to clinch there - Diaz circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Forman throws the left hand but Diaz avoids the punch easily.
Good work by Forman as he checks the leg kick.
Diaz throws a low kick but Forman avoids it.
Forman connects with a good right hand that stumbles Diaz. Diaz circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Diaz lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Forman darts in and clinches Diaz up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Diaz wants a takedown but no success here.
Diaz wants to take the fight to the mat but Forman manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Red Forman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oscar Diaz.

Forman breaks the clinch.
Diaz moves out of range of the strikes.
Forman looks to score with a jab to the body but Diaz is just out of range.

Diaz shoots in and bounces Forman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Diaz wants to control from the top but Forman keeps moving.
Diaz tries to free his leg and advance position but Forman is retaining full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Diaz trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Forman manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Diaz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Forman wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving.

Diaz has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Forman doesn't defend quickly enough and Diaz has managed to lock this one up! Can Forman escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Diaz on a fantastic submission victory.
