Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between johnny Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Cobalt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bravo comes to the cage accompanied by West Coast. johnny Bravo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, johnny Bravo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Cobalt!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravo lands a head kick!

Bravo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Cobalt slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Cobalt looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bravo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bravo drops back looking for a leg! Cobalt is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cobalt manages to kick Bravo off! Bravo jumps back into Cobalt's guard.

Cobalt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bravo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bravo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cobalt wants to improve his position but instead Bravo has moved into half guard.

Bravo drops back looking for a leg! Cobalt is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cobalt manages to kick Bravo off! Bravo jumps back into Cobalt's guard.

Bravo gets to his feet. Cobalt looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Bravo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cobalt's guard.
Bravo wants to stand but Cobalt has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Bravo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bravo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Cobalt has his foot on Bravo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bravo works his way back into a safe position though.

Cobalt has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bravo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cobalt.

Bravo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Bravo creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cobalt sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Cobalt is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bravo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Cobalt is looking to control Bravo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cobalt avoid being mounted?
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Some wild striking there from Bravo.
Bravo tries to bum rush Cobalt with a series of wild strikes but Cobalt uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bravo shoots in looking for a takedown. Cobalt tries to sprawl out of it but Bravo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cobalt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Bravo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cobalt's guard now.

Bravo wants to pass the guard but Cobalt is keeping the position.
Cobalt manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bravo manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cobalt passes Bravo's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Cobalt is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Bravo as he works his way to full guard.
Cobalt tries to free his leg and advance position but Bravo is retaining full guard.
Jake Cobalt has got the better of the ground game so far.

Cobalt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cobalt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bravo can't keep his opponent in guard - Cobalt advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cobalt is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bravo is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
