Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lolo Pepe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lorenzo Dorian!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pepe.
Dorian misses with a few strikes there.
Pepe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dorian.
Horrible takedown by Pepe or perhaps it was just good defense by Dorian which made him look bad.
Pepe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lolo Pepe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sloppy strikes from Dorian. Those never looked like landing.
Pepe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dorian as he jumps to the side.
Dorian looks to score with a jab to the body but Pepe is just out of range.
Pepe takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Dorian throws a series of punches but Pepe moves out of range.
Dorian throws a lazy right hand but Pepe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pepe moves out of range as Dorian strikes.
Dorian missing with a left hand there. Pepe was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Dorian stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dorian wants it to stay on the feet.
Dorian throws a hook to the side of Pepe's head but Pepe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nice defenses there by Pepe.
Pepe gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Dorian leaves Pepe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dorian takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Dorian shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Pepe eats them both and turns towards Dorian to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Pepe is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dorian fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Pepe to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Pepe looks to clinch but Dorian throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Pepe taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
