Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Proudstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Thames (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Proudstar might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pale Horse. Thames has chosen nightmare as his entrance music. Thames has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Bill Thames told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thames lunges at Proudstar with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Proudstar's hand.
It looks like James Proudstar has been cut.
Thames looks gassed!
Thames throws a jab but it's blocked by Proudstar.
Proudstar shoots in and drives through. Thames sprawls well.
Thames connects with a jab.
Proudstar takes the fight into the clinch.
Proudstar has Thames pressed against the cage, preventing Thames from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Proudstar gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Thames regains guard.
Thames keeping full guard, as Proudstar tries to pass.
Proudstar passes Thames's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Thames really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Proudstar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Proudstar is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Proudstar stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Proudstar lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Proudstar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Thames to the mat! Thames manages to get full guard.
Proudstar is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Proudstar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Proudstar passes Thames's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Proudstar works his way into side control.
Thames is letting Proudstar control him for a moment.
Proudstar is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Thames looks calm but he's in trouble here. Proudstar gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Thames is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Proudstar lets go of the hold and Thames can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). James Proudstar!
Our winner, James Proudstar, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
