Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joao Brasileiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yasuhiru Kanayama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Brasileiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yasuhiru Kanayama! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brasileiro misses with a takedown attempt - Kanayama sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kanayama throws a sloppy head kick and Brasileiro moves out of range easily. Brasileiro could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Kanayama stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kanayama wants it to stay on the feet. Brasileiro shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kanayama as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joao Brasileiro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brasileiro shoots in for a takedown but Kanayama shows good takedown defense. Kanayama fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brasileiro, pushing him back against the cage. Brasileiro wants a takedown but no success here.
Brasileiro has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kanayama after a bit of a struggle. Brasileiro stops a takedown attempt from Kanayama.

Brasileiro drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kanayama looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kanayama looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kanayama! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brasileiro is breathing heavily. Kanayama stands up and beckons Brasileiro to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Kanayama gets a takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kanayama is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Brasileiro tries to get to full guard but Kanayama has control of the leg. Kanayama trying to control the action but Brasileiro is working from the bottom. Brasileiro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Brasileiro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Brasileiro wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kanayama is looking to advance position but Brasileiro won't allow it. Brasileiro looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kanayama slows the pace down in half guard. Kanayama works his way into full mount! Kanayama has hold of Brasileiro's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Brasileiro manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brasileiro is trying desperately to improve position. Kanayama controlling his opponent. Brasileiro is trying desperately to improve position. Kanayama trying to control but he's not successful this time. Brasileiro bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Kanayama is trying to control the position but Brasileiro postures up. Kanayama wants to stand up but Brasileiro is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brasileiro postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kanayama is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brasileiro, into his guard. Kanayama wants to control from the top but Brasileiro keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Yasuhiru Kanayama was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kanayama stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kanayama wants it to stay on the feet. Kanayama looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Brasileiro! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kanayama tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kanayama lands a heavy elbow. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kanayama controlling the pace for now. Kanayama has hold of Brasileiro's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Brasileiro manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yasuhiru Kanayama dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kanayama closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kanayama is pressed up against the cage. Brasileiro has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kanayama down to the mat. Kanayama avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Brasileiro scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kanayama gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Kanayama looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Brasileiro looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Brasileiro stops Kanayama from getting back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brasileiro is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kanayama sees it coming and defends easily. Kanayama tries to roll over but Brasileiro keeps him under control. Brasileiro is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kanayama is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
