Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jamir Stackz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mason's choice of entrance music: Say it to my face. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jamir Stackz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Austin Mason! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stackz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mason's half guard. Mason looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Stackz is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Stackz thows a huge punch but Mason dodges it nicely.

Stackz's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Mason wants to get back to his feet.
Jamir Stackz has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Stackz misses with a series of wild punches.

Mason leaves Stackz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Stackz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mason swivels and escapes.

We're back to striking at a distance. Stackz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Stackz is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mason to keep the fight standing. Stackz wants to take the fight to the mat but Mason manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Stackz can't get the takedown.
Mason tightens his grip and picks Stackz up, before dumping him to the ground. Stackz manages to land in guard. Mason is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stackz is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stackz has escaped and now he's on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stackz trying to control the position from guard on top but Mason is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stackz is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Mason is looking for a triangle but Stackz pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Mason working for a triangle but Stackz defends it easily.
Stackz connects with a couple of short punches. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stackz wants to pass the guard but Mason is keeping the position. Mason is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Mason fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stackz avoids it really well and circles away. Stackz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mason circles away quickly and effectively. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stackz shoots in for a double leg but Mason sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jamir Stackz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stackz is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mason is surviving well by controlling Stackz's body position as best he can. Stackz lands a big shot there that rocks Mason but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Stackz gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mason keeping moving, preventing Stackz from controlling successfully. Mason pushes Stackz off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Stackz lands a nice hook to Mason's body. Mason takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Stackz tries to close the distance and clinch but Mason swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mason fails with an attempt to clinch.
