The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rogers swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sanchez scores with a shot to the body.
Sanchez keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rogers. Sanchez gets in close and instigates a clinch. Rogers tries to break free but Sanchez pushes him back against the cage. Sanchez tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Sanchez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rogers avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Sanchez is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Rogers is defending well. Rogers tries to circle away but Sanchez has him pinned against the cage. Sanchez manages to pull guard.

Rogers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Sanchez is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Sanchez kicks off Rogers and gets to his feet. Sanchez throws a combination. Rogers tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Rogers tries to bum rush Sanchez with a series of wild strikes but Sanchez uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rogers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Rogers looking to control but Sanchez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Rogers prevents Sanchez from getting the reversal.

Rogers can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sanchez is looking to escape. Sanchez tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rogers fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Sanchez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rogers wants to control the pace but Sanchez is squirming around nicely. Sanchez is looking to improve his position but Rogers isn't that keen on the idea. Sanchez wants to control but Rogers is having none of it. Rogers raining down shots from the mount! Rogers content just to control the position here.
