Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Ferdinand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wandy Wandeco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wandeco has chosen Sandstorm as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bob Ferdinand! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wandy Wandeco! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferdinand looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ferdinand defending well as Wandeco loads up on a big left hand. Wandeco works Ferdinand's body with a nice hook. Ferdinand closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wandeco circles away. Ferdinand shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wandeco but Wandeco pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Ferdinand. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wandeco moves into the clinch successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wandeco using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ferdinand has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Wandeco throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ferdinand blocks it with crossed arms. Wandeco misses with an elbow over the top. Ferdinand tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wandeco smiles and moves away.
Wandeco moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Bob Ferdinand has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferdinand with a lazy takedown attempt and Wandeco counters by moving into the clinch. Ferdinand manages to pull guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Wandeco has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ferdinand is proving hard to escape from. Ferdinand is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wandeco gets to his feet. Ferdinand looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wandeco lands with a right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wandeco tries to clinch but Ferdinand is having none of it. Ferdinand shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wandeco defends it nicely. Wandeco tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Wandy Wandeco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ferdinand swats away the attempt to clinch by Wandeco. A big right from Wandeco misses. Ferdinand misses with a takedown and Wandeco counters by moving into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wandy Wandeco dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bob Ferdinand's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Wandeco bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ferdinand's head backwards. Wandeco moves into the clinch. Ferdinand changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wandeco fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ferdinand will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wandeco fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wandeco tries to clinch but Ferdinand moves away and Ferdinand decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wandeco's guard. Ferdinand preventing the sweep. Wandeco lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ferdinand! Ferdinand wants to hold on but Wandeco pushes him away. Ferdinand is looking to get to half guard. Wandeco can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ferdinand is looking to escape. Wandeco prevents Ferdinand from getting the reversal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wandeco stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wandeco lands a nice hook to Ferdinand's body. Ferdinand takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Wandy Wandeco is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wandeco darts in and clinches Ferdinand up against the cage. Wandeco escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wandeco closes the distance and clinches. Ferdinand pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wandeco throws a right and a left that both miss. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Ferdinand circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ferdinand moves out of range of the strikes. Wandeco darts in trying to clinch and Ferdinand counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wandeco won't be happy with that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wandeco pushes Ferdinand away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ferdinand gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Ferdinand trying to control the position but Wandeco is working away. Wandeco is looking for a sweep. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The strikes coming from Ferdinand are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Ferdinand throws an elbow but Wandeco slips to the side and avoids it well. Ferdinand wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wandeco keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Wandy Wandeco will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Bob Ferdinand's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Wandeco tries to bum rush Ferdinand with a series of wild strikes but Ferdinand uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ferdinand looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Wandeco! Wandeco is trying to escape the mount.
Ferdinand looking to secure an arm triangle but Wandeco defends it well. Ferdinand won't let Wandeco get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wandeco holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Ferdinand tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Wandeco is desperately trying to improve his position but Ferdinand has a good base and remains in mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ferdinand has isolated one of Wandeco's arms. Wandeco looking to fight him off but Ferdinand twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bob Ferdinand! Bob Ferdinand bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
