Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kale Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greythama Tornado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kale Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Greythama Tornado!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tornado uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Perez.

Perez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tornado's guard.
Tornado trying to keep a closed guard but Perez is proving a slippery customer.

Tornado is looking for a triangle but Perez pushes his legs off easily.

Perez has gone for a leg lock! Tornado slips out almost immediately though and dives into Perez's guard.

Tornado drops back, looking for a kneebar! Perez looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Perez looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Perez!

Perez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Perez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Tornado is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Perez off and has taken his back!

Tornado is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Perez manages to reverse the position and now he's in Tornado's guard. Nice work there by Perez.

Perez swings around for an armbar but Tornado sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Perez's guard.
Tornado postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Tornado misses with a jab, cross combination.

Perez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tornado tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Perez is in Tornado's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Perez wants to free his trapped foot but Tornado is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Perez seems to be looking for submissions.

Perez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tornado defends it well.

Kale Perez dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Tornado wants to clinch.

Tornado gets caught flat footed, as Perez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Perez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tornado swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Perez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tornado is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Perez, into his guard.

Perez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Perez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tornado missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Perez manages to get to full guard.
Tornado trying to control the position from guard on top but Perez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Perez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Perez tries to get out of the position.
Kale Perez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Perez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Tornado stacks Perez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Tornado!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kale Perez.
Well Perez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
