Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Byczynski throws out the jab.
Byczynski throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Franklin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Byczynski connects with an inside leg kick.
Franklin avoids the head kick by Byczynski.
Franklin lands with a shot to the body.
Franklin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Byczynski misses with a hook
and Franklin counters with a three punch combo that has Byczynski backing up. Byczynski nods at Franklin to acknowledge the strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Franklin darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Nataniel Byczynski has been cut.
Byczynski swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Byczynski throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Byczynski pivots, looking for a leg kick but Franklin is out of range and Byczynski settles back down.
Byczynski tries to score with a low kick but Franklin moves his leg out of the way.
Byczynski takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Byczynski lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Byczynski is breathing heavily.
Byczynski misses the shot to the body.
Franklin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Byczynski momentarily.
Byczynski throws out a leg kick but Franklin moves out of range and Byczynski only half commits.
Franklin feints and as Byczynski raises his hands in defense, Franklin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Franklin advances position into side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Franklin prevents Byczynski from escaping the position.
Franklin lands an elbow.
Franklin lands a nice forearm strike.
Franklin has an Americana. Byczynski didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Franklin is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Franklin hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Chuck Franklin!
