Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Mclane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Palad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, John Mclane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mario Palad! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mclane shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Palad defends it nicely. Palad lands with an overhand left. Mclane shoots in for a takedown but Palad shows good takedown defense. Palad lands a jab to the head.
Palad pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Mclane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Palad tries to avoid it but Mclane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Palad to the ground. Palad escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Mclane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mclane fails with a takedown attempt. Palad throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Mclane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Palad tries to avoid it but Mclane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Palad to the ground. Palad escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Mclane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Palad lands a body shot.
Palad stuffs the takedown. Palad scores with a hook to the body. Mclane takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mclane shoots and misses and Palad counters with a left to the body. Palad defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mclane. Mclane is breathing heavily. Palad drives through and clinches with Mclane against the cage.
Mclane drops down looking for an ankle pick but Palad pulls his leg out and moves away.
Palad jabs Mclane to the body, keeping him at a distance. A combination from Palad does no damage. Palad connects with a right hand. Mclane shakes it off. Palad lands a nice looking body shot.
Mclane shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Palad sprawls well. Palad wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mclane gets slowly back to his feet. Palad lands a jab to the nose.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Palad closes the distance and pushes Mclane back into the cage. Mclane is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Palad gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Mclane drops down looking for an ankle pick but Palad pulls his leg out and moves away.
Palad tests Mclane's chin there with a solid looking shot. Mclane misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mclane walks into a jab. Palad lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Palad scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Palad throws a hook but Mclane blocks it. Mclane closes this distance looking for a takedown but Palad circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mclane takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mclane shoots in looking for a takedown. Palad tries to sprawl out of it but Mclane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Palad manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mclane closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Palad's guard. Palad is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Mclane thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mclane drops back looking for a leg! Palad is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Palad manages to kick Mclane off! Mclane jumps back into Palad's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Palad is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mclane advances position into side control! Palad really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mclane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mclane in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Palad is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). John Mclane! John Mclane decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
