Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yori Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yori Boyka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Aldo! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyka throws a sloppy head kick and Aldo counters with a right hand to the body. Boyka takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Yori Boyka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boyka wants to clinch up but Aldo keeps it at a distance. Boyka looks to land a combination. Aldo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Aldo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice takedown defense from Aldo. No joy for Boyka on that attempt. Boyka tries to clinch but fails miserably and Aldo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Aldo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Aldo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Boyka working a defensive guard here.
Aldo is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boyka is on top in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jose Aldo was stalling too much, according to the referee. Boyka drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aldo is trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aldo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Aldo is trying to maintain the position but Boyka is very close to passing his half guard. Boyka looks to land a strike but Aldo avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Aldo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boyka is one step ahead there. Aldo looking to control.
Boyka controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Aldo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aldo trying to control the pace. Boyka is trying to maintain the position but Aldo is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Aldo shoots for a takedown but Boyka saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Aldo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Boyka pinned against the cage. Boyka gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The crowd cheers as Boyka lands an impressive looking overhand right. Aldo doesn't seem phased though. Aldo wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A slapping body kick lands there for Boyka. Boyka misses with a takedown and Aldo counters by clinching up. Aldo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Boyka throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Aldo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Aldo lands in his opponent's guard. Boyka is breathing heavily. Aldo stands up from guard. Let's bang! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Aldo is looking to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Aldo dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Aldo slaps away a takedown attempt from Boyka, before circling back to the center of the mat. Aldo tries to clinch up but Boyka circles away and keeps his distance. Boyka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aldo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Boyka somewhat. Boyka fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Boyka stuffs the takedown. Yori Boyka is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boyka tries to bum rush Aldo with a series of wild strikes but Aldo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Aldo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Boyka counters with a slapping leg kick. Boyka misses the shot to the body. Boyka misses with a takedown attempt and Aldo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yori Boyka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boyka shoots in and drives through. Aldo sprawls well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Aldo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boyka avoids it really well and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyka throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Aldo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Boyka is in Aldo's guard. Boyka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aldo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Boyka wants to control from the top but Aldo keeps moving. Aldo has his hands on Boyka's head, controlling the position. Aldo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Yori Boyka wasn't doing enough on the ground. Nice body kick there by Aldo. Aldo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Boyka sees it coming and avoids it easily. Boyka tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Aldo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Aldo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Aldo. Boyka shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Aldo as he avoids it easily. Boyka fails with a takedown attempt. Aldo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Boyka gets full guard. Aldo advances position into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyka tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Aldo controlling the position easily from mount. Aldo thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Boyka tries to lock up and control but Aldo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Boyka is trying to reverse the position but instead Aldo has taken his back - oops! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Aldo missing with punches from the back. Aldo throwing sloppy strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jose Aldo will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
No luck for Aldo with that takedown attempt. Aldo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Boyka.
Boyka throws a combination. Aldo tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Aldo pushes Boyka up against the cage in a clinch. Aldo gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Boyka is trying to control but Aldo manages to pass to mount!
Boyka takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Aldo content just to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyka is wriggling around trying to escape.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Aldo unloads with some shots from mount but Boyka bucks and avoids them well.
Aldo lands with some strikes. Boyka holds on, trying desperately to control. Aldo controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aldo throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Boyka because Aldo loaded up on that one. Boyka tries to get back to half guard but can't. Boyka tries to control the position but Aldo now has his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyka tries to roll but Aldo sticks to his back.
Aldo controls the action. Boyka trying to control the hands but Aldo breaks the grip. Aldo is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Boyka defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Aldo scores with punches and elbows. Yori Boyka has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aldo just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

And that's the end of the fight! Jose Aldo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Aldo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
