Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fame Boy! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boy misses with a double jab
so Benevidez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Boy tries to strike from the bottom.
Benevidez postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Benevidez wants to control from the top but Boy keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Benevidez is pushing down on Boy's leg trying to pass to half guard. Boy is fighting to maintain full guard but Benevidez has managed to sneak the leg through. Boy tries to get to full guard but Benevidez has control of the leg. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Benevidez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Boy keeps working. Boy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Boy has hold of Benevidez's hands but Benevidez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Benevidez trying to control from half guard but Boy is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Benevidez is looking for a kimura but Boy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Benevidez to get the leverage. Benevidez seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Benevidez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Boy sees it coming and defends easily. Benevidez wants to control but Boy is keeping him busy. Boy taking some punishment here, with Benevidez in his half guard. Benevidez is keen to just control but Boy is a slippery customer. Benevidez is really struggling to control Boy but he's trying to hold on to the position. Boy is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Benevidez jumps into side control! Boy throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Benevidez tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Benevidez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Benevidez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Benevidez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boy can do anything to dispel that myth. Benevidez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Boy is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Benevidez lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Boy down.

Benevidez is looking to take a break and control but Boy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Benevidez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Boy tries to buck Benevidez off but Benevidez is having none of it. Boy looks gassed! Benevidez moves into full mount! Boy tries to reverse the position but Benevidez maintains control. Benevidez tries to control but Boy wriggling away. Benevidez landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Benevidez scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Benevidez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Boy is looking to escape. Benevidez controlling from the full mount. Benevidez tries to control but Boy wriggling away. Benevidez working away from the top, dropping strikes. Benevidez quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Benevidez but it's paid off an Boy is forced to tap! Nice work by Benevidez.
