Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Blanko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Mahone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Blanko is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Mahone!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blanko throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Blanko shoots for a takedown but Mahone saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mahone gets tackled into the cage by Blanko. Blanko maintains the clinch.
Mahone has had enough of the clinch but Blanko keeps him there for the moment.
Blanko manages to break the clinch.
Mahone closes the distance but Blanko moves to the side
and Blanko counters with a nice uppercut.
Mahone wants to clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Mahone. No joy for Blanko on that attempt.
Blanko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mahone avoids it really well and circles away.

Blanko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mahone pinned against the cage. Mahone gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mahone ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blanko moves away.
Blanko clinches up with Mahone and pushes him back against the cage.
Mahone decides to pull guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Blanko has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Mahone wants to sweep but no luck.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mahone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mahone is working for a kimura but Blanko is defending it quite comfortably.
Blanko is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mahone's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mahone's back!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
I really don't envy Mahone right now.

Horrible takedown by Mahone or perhaps it was just good defense by Blanko which made him look bad.

Mahone tries to score a power double leg takedown but Blanko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mahone somewhat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blanko tries to control Mahone's body but Mahone pushes him off. Blanko squirms to his side and now Mahone has his back!
Mahone is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Blanko is defending well though. Mahone let's go of the attempt for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Mahone's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Blanko tries to escape but Mahone has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Blanko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mahone on the ground.

Mahone is looking to control Blanko but Blanko is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Blanko has hold of Mahone's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.

I really don't envy Blanko right now.

Mahone wants to control the position but Blanko frees himself and scrambles - Mahone manages to regain control in side control.
You can see the frustration on Blanko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Blanko is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Mahone is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Mahone is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
You can see the frustration on Blanko's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Joe Mahone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mahone has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
