The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Head.
Head throws a head kick but Rodriguez moves out of range.
Head lands a leg kick that knocks Rodriguez off balance momentarily.
Head throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Head defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rodriguez.
Head lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
A nice leg kick lands there from Head.
Head lands a nice looking kick to the body. Rodriguez takes a step back to recover.

Head lands with a kick to the ribs.
Nice takedown defense from Head. No joy for Rodriguez on that attempt.
Rodriguez looks gassed!
Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Head as he jumps to the side.
Boot Head has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Rodriguez.
Head connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Head lands a big head kick that sends Rodriguez to the canvas! Head follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
