Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dee Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hill has chosen PRIDE FC theme as his entrance music. Daniel Hill is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dee Jay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Hill!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jay shoots in for a takedown but Hill shows good takedown defense.
Hill misses with an uppercut. Jay saw that one coming.

Jay has closed the distance and engaged Hill in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Hill's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Jay's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jay keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hill.

Jay clinches.
Jay displaying some good clinch control by pressing Hill up against the cage.
Jay is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hill to keep the fight standing.
Hill tries to circle away but Jay has him pinned against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hill has had enough of the clinch but Jay keeps him there for the moment.

Jay has picked Hill up - he's going for a ride! Jay dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jay performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jay's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Hill looks like he's trying to stand up.

Jay is taking a breather. Hill says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Dee Jay has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Jay fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dee Jay. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jay gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Jay drags the fight down to the ground.

Hill wanted to stand there but Jay had control of the position.
Hill won't allow Jay to sweep him here.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hill throws a body punch but Jay moves out of range.

Jay moves into range and clinches up with Hill.

Jay manages to pull guard.

Jay has a closed guard, preventing Hill from standing up.
Jay managing to control the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hill slips under a jab.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jay misses with a double jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dee Jay dominated that round.
That's time! Jay's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Hill lands a head shot.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hill enables Jay to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hill manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jay is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jay won't allow Hill to get back to his feet.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jay controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dee Jay just wasn't active enough.
Jay closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hill circles away.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jay is defended easily by Hill.

Jay fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hill sprawls well initially but Jay persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Jay is looking to advance position but Hill won't allow it.

Hill pushes Jay off looking to stand but Jay dives back in and keeps control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Jay is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dee Jay wasn't doing enough on the ground.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jay.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dee Jay. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jay fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Jay has a takedown stuffed.
Jay fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hill checks it well.
Hill throws a hook but Jay avoids it easily.

Jay gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Hill is trying to break the clinch but Jay has him pressed against the cage.
Hill managing to block the knees to the body from Jay.

Jay breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hill defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jay.
Hill drops his hands momentarily and Jay takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Dee Jay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jay closes the distance and clinches.
Jay is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Jay breaks the clinch.
Jay moves forwards but Hill connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hill swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice cross by Hill.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hill throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hill throws a looping overhand right but Jay ducks down to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dee Jay dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Hill waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jay.
Jay steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hill.
Jay blocks a jab.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Jay escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hill throws a looping overhand right but Jay ducks down to avoid it.

Jay closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Jay turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Jay happy to just control the position for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Hill dodges the ground and pound from Jay.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dee Jay just wasn't active enough.
A punch combination from Hill misses.
Hill might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Jay displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hill throws out the jab.
Hill throws a shot from downtown. Jay moves away and avoids it.
Jay misses with a takedown attempt - Hill sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jay clinches with his opponent.
Hill tries to break the clinch but Jay is controlling the position.

Nice body punch from Jay.

Jay turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jay manages to end up in side control.
Hill is trying to buck Jay off.
Hill parries the strikes from Jay easily there. Jay is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hill to escape.
Jay tries to move into full mount but can't pass Hill's legs.
Sloppy strikes there by Jay.

Jay is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hill will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Dee Jay overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jay has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hill!
Jay thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jay lands a nice shot to the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dee Jay showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Jay has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
