Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Stratton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Onotole Vasserman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Stratton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Onotole Vasserman!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasserman just misses with a punch to the body.

Stratton is trying to trip Vasserman. He has hold of a leg but Vasserman is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Stratton persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Stratton shoots for a takedown but Vasserman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Vasserman counters with a head kick. That will keep Stratton thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Stratton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Vasserman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Stratton feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Vassermans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eric Stratton.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Stratton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
